First Responder

Instruction to individuals to respond to injuries and sudden illnesses that may arise in the workplace. Instruction includes adult CPR, mouth to mouth, mouth to mask ventilation’s. Ventilation and rescue breathing using of barrier devices, relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) as well as the use and operation of an Automated External Defibrillator. In addition participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide victim assessment, bleeding control, immobilization  and to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses in adults until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
